Writing complex sentences

A complex sentence is a made up of an independent clause and a dependent clause. An independent clause is a group of words that could be a sentence. e.g "I am happy". a dependent clause is a group of words that cannot be a sentence by itself. e.g "when I ski" A dependent clause can help form sentence when it works with a independent clause. e.g "I am happy when i ski." other joining words-that,who,when,but,after, for, since, through,while. Not a complete sentence: "I was hungry, than i ate dinner."

"I watched the vikings game in the afternoon"

 "I watch anime after school."

 " I read while eating my dinner."

  "I love to eat chocolate once a week"

  "My brother loves to bug me at every moment he gets."

  " I eat a lot of sweets when my parents are not around."

   " I got the highest score on my test on Ecology"

     Not complete sentences

      "for awile."

     "for hours."

    "on my bed"

   " this afternoon"
