What's Courage

T: In my opinion there are different types of courage and everyone shows courage at some point.

     1. We show courage when we assert our individuality

    2.  Believe in your beliefs not someone Else's

   3. People show courage when they stand up for publicly against different forms of injustice.

Do dress codes make high schools better places?

In my opinion dress codes make high schools better places. When it comes to the students safety parents and teachers will do whatever they can to keep them safe so they agree with my opinion. When it comes to religion the District Board Of Niagara, parents and everyone with the same religious culture. Parents also can agree with me because they would not there children to become exposed to these people who wear tiny skirts and shirts that show a lot of cleavage.

Parents that have daughters who where short skirts and shirts with a lot of cleavage are in danger. If a pedifile saw a girl like this he might take any chance he can get to kidnap her. If a girl like this walked into high school all the guys would would probably harress her which can cause a lot of stress on the girl. Skirts and shirts that show a lot of cleavage should worry because they can be in a . Also this sort of clothing is very uncivilized and would probably make the girl look desperate. But with dress codes you can take away all the highly inappropriate clothing and that makes them where something a lot more appropriate and more civilized which makes your daughter safer.

Religion is another important reason why dress codes make high schools better places. Religious teachers and students would find it highly inappropriate if you go around with shirts that say words that are offensive to there religion or words that mock or make fun of the religion. It would cause students to complain and it would starts fights and people would get hurt which no one wants. With this would come to more vandalism fro people getting suspended because they were fighting and Parents making a uproar. It would be absolute chaos! It would make it much easier if people wore clothing that would not make people pick fights or start to vandalise school property. To stop all this all you have to do is follow the dress code!

Parents would absolutely freak if her son or daughter was exposed to people wearing mini skirts and shirts that had swear words or shirts that showed way to much cleavage. It would make your daughter think its cool and if your son or daughter saw kids wearing the swear words they would start to say them all time which leads to teachers catching you using inappropriate language and they get sent to detention. When your exposed to these kind of clothing its almost as if your attitude changes. You start to pick fights and you could even start to smoke or skip class. Face it people when some of us dress we change our attitudes and personality. So to stop all of this negative exposure take my opinion and follow the dress code.

~Are Blogs Helpful In English Class?~

In my opinion I think blogs are very useful in English class. The students that are in my English class also agree that blogs have helped them in many ways. Teachers have even said that blogs help them and they use them a lot. Last but not least, I'll discuss why blogs help the environment.

For most students writing is a pain. There writing is messy, the paper is crumpled because they erased there mistakes to hard. That's why its a lot better to type things out not to mention typing is a lot quicker then writing. Some students tend to forget there English work at home or they lose it and they don't know where it is, but if you write it out on a blog you can just paste it on your blog as soon as your finished so you know where it is and you don't need to worry about getting in trouble by your teacher.

Blogs are sooo much better for teachers it makes there job a whole lot easier. Students might put there homework on the teachers desk or the counter at the front of the class and it gets buried by paper so the teacher has to go looking for it and that's where the blogs come in. All the teacher has to do is log into a computer and look at the students typed work so the teacher doesn't have to go around moving papers and books to try to find some students work. Remember when i said typing is easier for the students? Well its also good for the teachers because when a students has messy writing it makes it hard for the teacher to read it so its difficult to mark. Blogs allow the teacher to read a blog easily without stopping to figure out what a word or sentence saids.

Global warming is really affecting our environment with climate change and the melting of the ice in the North Pole. One factor that cause this is the amount of trees we clear cut everyday. Humans waist paper everyday for no reason and that's a waste of a tree. Trees make oxygen which is needed for animals including us humans. So every time you waist paper, you waist a tree and you waist our oxygen. Blogs however don't use paper at all its all virtual. When you write on a blog its clear, neat and its easier then writing on paper. So don't waist a tree get a blog.

The Need To Heed Avalanche Alerts

1. It should not be a crime because its a free country and you get to chose to not do it. The athor saids "This is a free country and we are not likely to ever outlaw people from entering dangerous wilderness areas."

2. The main arguments is that theres a risk of you dying in a avalanche The author said "14 Canadians die in avalanches every year on average." The people are carless of the signs and they think that nature won't turn on them. Just because they beckon us with their beauty they should repel us with there peril.

3. By warnings the author ment the avalanche warnings telling you this is a avalanche area enter at your own risk.

4. I belive people from Sparwood would feel bad for the lost lives, but the people would know it was there fault for ignoreing the signs and not taking the warnings serioisly. So they would think the people who died must of been pretty stupid, but the people would not find this suprising scince people have died by avalanches before.

5. When i think about it helps me understamd better because they have everything in order so its not all over the place.

~Courage~

Some people may ask what is courage but even I don't fully understand it, however I do know that fear and courage work together. If you fear you’re going to lose something dear to you it gives you the courage to do so because you're afraid. So I believe that you need fear to generate courage.

~Characteristics~

It was a beautiful morning in the city of Toronto today. The sun was shining the birds were singing.....And of course there was still a teenage girl who still sleeping and was going to miss her bus then she would have to rush out of the house usually forgetting her homework and run to school. This was her daily routine every day. This lazy girls name is Sprite Crush. When the sun hit her face she woke with a start and fell of of bed leaving a huge bump on her head. Sprite cursed under her breath and ran downstairs and her face was completely in shock it looked like she went frozen stiff. “Sprite stop staring at the clock and hurry up!” Sprites mom shouted at her still frozen daughter. “I can’t be late today!!” Shouted Sprite over her shoulder as she ran upstairs and put on whatever clothes she gets to first. Sprite rushes down the stairs and yells at her mom love you but she was way gone by then.

“Sprite where were you?” Asks Kiwi as soon as Sprite entered the school grounds. “My alarm clock didn’t go off today.” Sprite muttered to Kiwi. “That’s what you say everyday like seriously if you keep this up you’re going to be in big trouble dude.” Kiki warned. “I know Kiwi.” Spite sighed. Math class was bring as it usually is. And of course she got insulted on her hair since Sprite forgot to brush it. “Nice hair Sprite it goes well with your ugly face.” Sneered a teen named Jessica. “ Jessica thinks she little miss perfect, she thinks she owns the school and everyone in it.” Sprite thought angrily to herself. “Oh ya, and Sprite?” Called Jessica just as about Sprite was about to leave. “What Jessica?” answered Sprite with a acidic tone. “I didn’t know your parents were such wannabes that they never told you how to dress right.” Laughed Jessica while she pointed to Sprite’s, apparently backwards shirt. Sprite sighed; she was used to being insulted by now. Oh how she wanted to punch Jessica’s lights out. The image brought Sprite satisfaction and the thought of hearing the satisfying crunch of Jessica’s nose breaking made her day.

“Are you all right Sprite?” Kiwi asked as they started to leave the school grounds. “Kiwi doesn’t Jessica give you a hard time?”Sprite asked. Kiwi laughed so hard it scared the wits out of Sprite. “No she doesn’t probably because my dad is Jessica’s fathers boss so she wouldn’t want to make her dad lose his job. Isn’t it stupid? But you know what Sprite? She’s such a loser by picking on people. Don’t let her get the best of you it will just bring her satisfaction.” Sprite gave Kiwi a smile. “Your right Kiwi thanks that really helps and you made me decided not to punch the lights out of that Spoiled brat.” Sprite laughed with Kiwi. “Kiwi you’re such a good friend you always know the right thing to say.” Sprite hugged Kiwi. “Thank you Sprite I would do anything to help out a friend.
